Dietetics
What is it?
Accredited Practicing Dietitians (APDs) are recognised professionals with the qualifications and skills to provide expert nutrition and dietary advice. APDs have comprehensive university qualifications accredited by the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA).
APDs are qualified to advise individuals, groups and industry on nutrition-related matters. They can help you to take control of your diet to maximise your health. They can coach you to meet specific goals, such as optimal body weight and provide advice on a healthy balanced diet, food allergies or intolerances.
APDs have clinical training to translate scientific information into personalised, practical dietary advice to help you to manage your condition, for example, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, gastrointestinal disorders, cancer, and gout.
